G&B building services carried out extensive work for us, completely gutting and building a very large house extension which included a 40 square foot kitchen, an extra bedroom, a family bathroom, snug/gamesroom and en suite plus lots more.

We live in Chapel Park estate and after deciding to go with G & B Builders, Lee the project manager made us feel completely at ease regarding the start date (bearing in mind this was a huge job) and the completion date, which took 18 weeks, a week ahead of schedule.

We cannot put into words the help Lee gave us keeping costs down, helping us choose the furnishings, ideas on every  part of the build as there is so much to think about, attention to detail the list just goes on.
On site, his  team worked extremely hard all day and cleared up at the end, we trusted them completely in our home while we were at work, they are a credit to his company. One day I counted 13 workmen in our home, and everything ran  like a production line with Lee on site.

We have used G&B Building Services on a number of projects in our own home and on buy to let properties we own. In our own house they carried out a kitchen refurbishment, involving the removal of both partition and load baring walls. This was carried out with the minimum of disruption and a great deal of care and attention.

G&B have also carried a number of projects in our other properties including heating systems, replacing bathrooms, installing a downstairs cloakroom/toilet, and even a number of gardening projects. Again all carried out with the minimum of disruption and to the highest of standards.

We feel very fortunate to have discovered G&B building services and we are more than satisfied with the work that they carried out. Before we engaged G&B, we had met with a number of architects and building companies to work on the design and costing of an extension and a loft conversion to a family bungalow that we own. We were not impressed with the designs that were presented and we were uncomfortable with the lack of transparency in the estimates for the work. G&B were the first company we met who could provide a coherent and transparent plan for our project, which covered architectural services, structural engineering calculations and planning approval. In addition, the costs were explained clearly and concisely.
We were very impressed with the energy, motivation and work ethic of the team, whatever the weather! This energy and the fantastic coordination of the required trades meant that our job was completed on time, within budget and without any drama. For us, G&B took the stress and anxiety out of the project and left us with a property that exceeded our expectations. We plan to bring the team back to carry out further improvements inside the property in the coming months.

Lee was really quick to respond and gave me loads of useful information, as well as being flexible on his quote. As he runs a building company, he has lots of other tradesmen at his disposal which is handy if you are renovating or need other work doing. Great service and quick turnaround.

We would just like to say a massive Thank you to Lee and his team who did all the work for us back in July and August last year!

When we had Lee over to have a look at the house we knew it was going to be a big job, but nothing was going to be too ominous for him! With every request, Lee came up with a solution! We were looking at getting the whole house renovated starting from top to bottom with a new kitchen, bathroom a priority but with larger scale building work and walls knocking down also. As this was the first time we had done anything of the like, Lee was brilliant in advising us of what we could and couldn’t do and even with our awkward needs, there was always an answer!   What was even more satisfying was how quickly everything was completed, on time and within the time frame Lee gave us.

We couldn’t speak more highly of the quality of workmanship and even more importantly the service that we got from Lee and his team!

As a family we have used G&B Building services on numerous occasions for various jobs. Personally I find everyone connected to the company to be reliable well mannered and very good at their jobs. They always make sure the job is done to perfection and the area always cleaned up and left impeccable. They have just recently before Christmas landscaped my back garden, having recently moved to the property the back garden was just a garden of weeds and overgrown grass. It is now paved and pebbled and a much nicer area to use. They also laid wood flooring and tiles throughout the house. Photos of garden and flooring attached.

We first used G&B Builders in 2008 for outside maintenance work and again in 2009 for major interior alteration and kitchen design. The work was of excellent quality and very reasonably priced without any extra hidden costs even though some major unknown problems were encountered along the way with our plumbing and drainage system, we ended up paying slightly less than the original quote due to the savings made on some of the materials. We were consulted with the progress from start to finish and found the team very helpful and friendly throughout and ended up with exactly what we wanted upon completion. We were so pleased with the finished result that we had G&B back to do a full renovation to our bathroom and again were given full consultation and advice by friendly qualified staff throughout, resulting in another beautiful addition to our home. which again we were delighted with and have had no problems with any of the work completed to date. Well done G&B we will not hesitate to contact you should we need anything else in the future.
